The reader joins Shelly as she unravels a Gordian knot of conflicting leads, a murdered witness, Russian gangsters, evil motives, and characters with strange lifestyle choices, all in pursuit of a sly and deadly suspect. As the narrative alternates between Shelly’s point of view and that of her quarry, we get a peek into the minds of a smart, savvy cop and a wicked, sexy serial killer. This suspenseful, dark, and futuristic mystery culminates in a western-style shootout.
